Site work for a water / sewer project in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project involves replacement and rehabilitation of piping in the basement of Building 05, including new couplers, nuts and bolts, and saddle taps. It also includes painting of existing piping, potential lining of the inside of piping, and all necessary materials, equipment, labor, miscellaneous associated work, and cleanup, all in accordance with the contract documents. Sealed proposals must be submitted electronically. Paper, fax, or emailed bids will not be considered. Any bid submitted after the scheduled time for bid opening will be rejected and not considered. Each bidder must accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the jurisdiction. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required. Sales tax is not to be included in the bid; a sales tax exemption certificate will be available for all material purchased for incorporation in the project.
