This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Pope, Mississippi. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

Grass and water ditch areas along Pope town streets and Little Park are to be mowed once per month, with removal of trash and debris from the roadside within the cutting area. String trimmers should be used as necessary for touch-up around signs, bushes, trees, and the upper outer banks or tops of all water or drain ditches, especially areas not accessible by mowers. Contractors are expected to clean any culvert ends overloaded with debris and make two lawn mower cuts on each side of the street, roughly 78” to 84” in width per standard mower. If a bush hog is used, a 2” to 3.5” cut is required, and the street must be cleaned after. Before every mowing, the site will be surveyed to remove items like bottles, cans, and fallen limbs. From March to October, grass cutting and weed eating must be maintained twice monthly at City Park, Town Hall, the RR Track lot, and the parking lot of Town Hall, including blowing off the parking lot and maintaining weeds and limbs. This includes the big bank on Main Street across from Little Park near Pear Street and the bank on Mimosa Street. During November to February, the Town Hall parking lot should be blown off and garbage and debris removed from outlined areas, with trimming of overgrowth from trees and bushes overtaking roads. At the lagoon, grass will be bush hogged once monthly from March through October, with banks cut once during this time to eliminate overgrowth or trees. The fence line must be kept clear of vines and growth and can be sprayed with chemicals; the area 4 to 5 feet outside the fenced lagoon area should also be maintained. Seventeen lift stations are to be mowed or weed-eated monthly. Three cells are to be maintained with all trees, bushes, and shrubbery removed, but no chemicals should be sprayed around the cells. The contractor must provide general liability coverage with a minimum amount of $25,000 and provide proof before the first cutting. All tools and equipment are to be provided by the contractor. The contract will be awarded based on best overall value, considering price, quality of services rendered, experience and reliability, equipment and capability, references, and reputation. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to award the contract in its best interest. Bids must be mailed to the Town of Pope and postmarked no later than April 30, 2026.
