The project includes the installation of approximately 20,000 feet of 8-inch, 6-inch and 4-inch potable water lines within Montgomery County right of way. Boring of all driveways and county road sections is required. Work also includes appurtenances such as Tees, Bends, Reducers, Valves, Flush Hydrants and air vacuum release valves. The project involves disinfection of the water system, meter reconnections for approximately 150 residences, erosion control, traffic control, and site restoration. The engineering design was based on installing water lines with horizontal directional drilling utilizing HDPE water pipe. Contractors with alternate means and methods will be allowed provided the methods are approved by the engineer and the contractor provides as-built drawings.
