Description

Site work and paving for a civil project in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.

Bids are requested for asphalt paving, shouldering, and road painting of two township roads: 105th Street starting at the new pavement and heading north approximately 3,700 feet to 95th Avenue, and approximately 200 feet on 95th Avenue. Patchwork for a culvert on 90th Avenue for approximately a length of 62 feet. The project should be bid two ways: one using 58-34 warm mix asphalt (12.5 mm) and another using 58-28 hot mix asphalt (12.5 mm). Both bids must include paving to an average compacted thickness of 2.5 inches and a width of 21 feet (90th Avenue at 22 feet). Include use of two pavers. Mailboxes and driveways must be winged out with asphalt as necessary; paved driveways are to be sawn or milled. Shoulders for each road must be two feet wide using 75-inch graded dense base gravel, compacted and swept. The work includes painting the center lines and shoulder lines. Contractors must quote price per ton, tonnage, and total cost, and provide proof of insurance with their bid. Sealed bids are to be submitted as instructed. The town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid most advantageous to the town. Completion date will be negotiated at contract award.
