Description

Renovation of a municipal facility in Arlington, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Town of Arlington is seeking Design Services for the exterior renovation and restoration of the historic Robbins Memorial Town Hall in Arlington, Massachusetts. The project is anticipated to include exterior envelope restoration, masonry repair and cleaning, roofing, windows and doors, site-related exterior improvements, and restoration of historic architectural elements, including evaluation and potential reconstruction of the clock tower/cupola as applicable. Design services are expected to include Schematic Design through Construction Administration and Closeout. Architects and design teams submitting qualifications must demonstrate significant experience with historic preservation projects, municipal facilities, and Massachusetts public procurement requirements. Project construction will be conducted pursuant to M.G.L. c.149. The estimated construction cost is approximately $7,500,000, with a phased funding strategy anticipated. The Town will review and evaluate all submissions, identify finalists, and determine whether interviews will be conducted. Fee negotiations will be held with the highest-ranked firm. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all responses, to waive minor informalities, and to award a contract in the best interest of the Town.
