Site work, paving and new construction of a transportation facility in Scottsboro, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a 10,000-square-foot transportation facility.
Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of a maintenance hangar, apron, and vehicular parking lot. The work includes grading, draining, base, and paving for an aircraft parking apron and vehicular parking lot, and a 100' x 100' hangar with attached office space. Total contract time for completion is ninety calendar days. Liquidated damages for delays are set at $1,000.00 per calendar day after the specified completion time. All bidders exceeding the amount established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must display their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, and accept the bid deemed most favorable to the OWNER. Not later than ten (10) days prior to the date of opening of BIDS, all questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Questions will be received until noon on May 8 as per Adda 1.
