Reference Number 0000421700 Source ID PU.AG.USA.2472988.C14538526 The City of Kentwood issues this RFP to invite qualified vendors to submit proposals on the project to preserve the pavement within the City under the specifications, terms, and conditions attached within the RFP document. Question Deadline 04/30/2026 at 2:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes Work shall include pavement removal, saw cut or milled (vertical) edges, grading as necessary, aggregate base compaction, adjusting casting(s) to provide proper drainage and ride, tacking (bond coat) of existing edges, and traffic control. Patches shall be a minimum of two lifts of two (2) inches each of MDOT 13A or other approved mix. Patches shall match the existing pavement depth where greater than four (4) inches. All patches at the edge of the pavement shall have a rolled curb. At least one (1) lane of traffic in each direction must be maintained; flagging will be allowed. The estimated quantity for the 2026 Work is 6,944 square feet at 175 tons. Refer to the attached EXHIBIT A (3 pages) for site locations, approximate patching sizes, and additional notes. Locations identified in Exhibit A have been marked in the field with paint. NOTE: Special care shall be taken at casting locations to ensure proper drainage and ride quality as that is why the pavement is being replaced in most cases.
