Sealed bids are invited for the complete replacement of the existing Beachwood Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Ocean County, New Jersey. The work includes selective demolition of the current plant, construction of a new 110' by 70' CMU Block Building, installation of new high service booster pumping equipment with associated suction and discharge piping, valves and fittings, installation of a new iron removal pressure filtration treatment system using GreenSand Plus and anthracite media, installation of new chemical feed and handling systems including a lime slurry feed system and a sodium hypochlorite solution feed system, as well as a complete filter backwash wastewater handling and decant/supernatant recycling system. The upgrades require all necessary treated water and sanitary piping, valves, appurtenances, electrical, instrumentation and controls, system connections, building modifications, and structural improvements for support. The project also includes modifications to existing above-grade steel clearwell tanks and slat tray aeration systems, including piping and vessel changes to connect to the new plant and decant piping system. Bidders must submit sealed proposals as specified.
