Reference Number 0000421603 The Project consists of modifying and constructing concrete structures such as curbs, gutters, new ADA sidewalk ramps, sidewalks and driveway aprons, concrete stairs and handrails, and landscape restoration as part of the partial reconstruction of Barrows Street within the City of Jamestown. Question Acceptance Deadline 05/01/2026 11:59 AM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes Every request for an interpretation shall be made in writing to the OWNER and must be received by the OWNER five or more business days prior to the date set for the receipt of Proposals The Contract may be extended for a period of one (1) year, under the same conditions, upon mutual agreement of both parties if it meets the approval of both the Contractor and the Owner. The "Work" under this Contract is intended to include all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to provide and accomplish the construction of concrete structures within the street reconstruction project limits. The concrete structures will be curbs, gutters, sidewalks, stairs, driveway aprons and other flatwork. All excavation and removal of existing concrete will be completed by the Owner. B. Driveway aprons, sidewalks passing through a driveway, sidewalk ramps, or within the downtown area, shall be 6 inches thick. All other flat work shall be 4 inches thick, or as directed by the Engineer. C. The work will construct new concrete structures. Old, existing concrete structures will be removed and disposed of by the contractor. The subbase to which the stone and concrete will be placed, will be graded and leveled by the contractor. D. The Contractor will be responsible for constructing the concrete structures to the line and grade specified by the Owner, to the tolerances listed in the General and Supplementary Conditions. The Contractor is responsible for excavation, removal and disposal of all material as directed by the Engineer. E. The Contractor will provide and install Cast Iron ADA Certified Detectable Warning Plates per the N.Y.S.D.O.T Curb Ramp Standard Specification 608-01 F. The Contractor shall supply communication and response services to the City for the duration of his work, as described in the General Conditions. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price,Performance Bond - In An Amount Of ONE Hundred Percent (100%) Of The Total Amount Payable To The Contractor. Payment Bond - In An Amount Of ONE Hundred Percent (100%) Of The Total Amount Payable To The Contractor. The Contractor shall pay liquidated damages The Contractor shall make a payment to the City in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) The right to reject any and all bids, to waiver any inconsistencies in, or to make any award to other than the low bidder, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Jamestown, and in accordance with the law, are herewith reserved.
