Description

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Jamestown, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Sealed bids are requested for the renovation of the Sprague Street Wastewater Lift Station in Chautauqua County, New York. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the General Manager, Board of Public Utilities, City of Jamestown, and be plainly marked on the outside with "PROPOSAL NO. BD 08 26". The Board of Public Utilities reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to permit exceptions not deemed substantive, and to accept any bid considered to represent the prudent and economical expenditure of public monies for the benefit of its customers by securing the maximum quality at the lowest possible cost. Detailed specifications and bid forms are available at the Board of Public Utilities office or online. BASIC DESCRIPTION OF WORK The general scope of work for BD-08-26 includes the supply and installation of two wastewater pumps, controls, vacuum breakers, check valves, discharge valves, flow meters, and replacement of pump guide rails in the wet well; and, to provide and install a new force main and a permanent bypass pumping around the lift station.
