The project consists of replacing 210 deteriorated public sewer laterals in various locations throughout the City of Palo Alto over a three-year period, with approximately 70 laterals to be replaced each year. The replacement methods will include either pipe bursting or open-cut installation, determined by site conditions. Work includes the removal and replacement or abandonment of 4" or 6" sewer lateral pipes at varying invert depths, pre- and post-construction cleaning, CCTV inspections, GPS surveys, landscaping/hardscaping restoration, and disposal of materials. Contractors must provide all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals required. The project must conform to all noted specifications, general conditions, special provisions, and technical standards provided.
