Question Deadline 05/07/2026 at 4:00 PM ET Any questions regarding the specifications shall be directed, in writing by email only, to Cliff Gurnham, Facilities Director at gurnhamc@guilfordschools.org with a copy to Darlene Minore, Manager of Purchasing & Accounting at purchasing@guilfordct.gov. The project involves HVAC Piping Renovations at Melissa Jones Elementary School. Competitive bids are invited from qualified and responsible vendors for these renovations. Bidders are required to submit their original proposal, two copies, and one electronic copy (flash drive), along with bid security in the form of a bid bond or cashier's check amounting to ten percent of the base bid. Bids must be labeled with the bid number, bid title, and marked "time sensitive." The bid price must be honored for ninety business days from the date of bid opening and, upon award, throughout the contract period. Labor rates must comply with the current schedule of prevailing wages by the Connecticut Department of Labor. The Town of Guilford reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive defects if deemed in its best interest. The employer is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer. Instructions to bidders include obtaining specifications from listed websites, accessing plans via a process requiring a completed Receipt of Plans and Non-Disclosure Agreement form, attending a mandatory pre-bid walkthrough, and directing all specification questions in writing by email only to the designated officials by the given deadline.
