Site work and paving for a road / highway in Rutland, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Sealed bids are being requested for pulverizing and asphaltic concrete paving of Hill Road from State Hwy 138 to US Hwy 14 (3910' x 22', 0.74 miles). Proposals should be submitted as separate projects for each road, and if a proposal is submitted for all roads, it should be clarified. Bids should be submitted as separate courses in the event that only the base course or the entire project is selected. Bids must include the cost of butt joints for a 2" overlay. Pulverizing quotes must include estimated square yardage and cost per square yard, and paving quotes must specify the number of tons and per ton cost of bituminous pavement. The asphalt base coat (2") shall be 3LT 58-28S and the surface coat (1 and 1/2") shall be 5LT 58-28S. All work and materials must conform to the current Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and any special provisions of the Wisconsin Division of Highways, Department of Transportation. The contractor is responsible for all traffic control in accordance with these standards. The successful bidder must provide a certificate of insurance in the amount of at least one million dollars before beginning work. The paving must be guaranteed for at least one year, with any defects corrected at the contractor's expense. The contractor must provide scale-certified tickets for each load delivered.
