As of April 29, 2026, Project is on hold. Sealed bids are invited for the construction of a new sewer lateral to be installed at Gordon Street Apartments at the intersection of East Gordon & North Oswego Streets in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The project consists of work to be performed under a single contract for general construction. Payment of not less than the minimum wages and salaries as set forth in the bid package is required. The successful bidder will have sixty days from acceptance of the bid to complete the project. Bids must be clearly marked, "Formal Bid for Gordon Sewer Lateral," and delivered to the offices at 635 Broad Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. All bids will be officially opened at the specified time. Bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid meeting at 396 North Oswego Street. VHDC reserves the right to reject all bids, or to waive informality in the bidding process. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the bid opening without VHDC's consent. Participation by small diverse businesses, including Minority, Women, LGBT, Veteran, and Disability-Owned business enterprises, is encouraged.
