Demolition for a municipal facility in Norton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility.
Scope of Work: The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, material, services, and permits necessary to demolish and remove the building(s) and all debris located on the property at 12 Church St., Norton, NB. This includes removal of construction materials, building contents, and debris to an approved disposal site (with the exception of 1 cord of firewood to be removed before demolition), removal of furnace fuel (if applicable), removal of all footings and foundations, backfilling excavated areas with clean fill, coordinating with the municipality for capping sewer lines (as needed), disconnecting electrical and telecommunication lines (as applicable), and completing all work by June 12, 2026. The contractor must obtain and provide proof of all required permits before starting, is responsible for any damage caused, and must coordinate activities with the Village. Instructions to Bidders: Proof of Liability Insurance and Worksafe N.B. Compensation insurance must be submitted with the quotation. Quotes must be received by Thursday April 30, 2026, at 5 pm, delivered to Village of Valley Waters, 10 Municipal St., Norton, NB E5T 0C8, marked "Building Demolition (2026-001-A)".
