Project Location Kulps Road, Barto Road, and Stauffer Road Washington Township, Berks County Cold-in-place recycled asphalt base course and asphalt wearing course paving The project includes approximately 24,825 square yards of cold-in-place recycled asphalt base course and the placement of approximately 2,665 tons of 9.5 mm wearing course (Option A) on three roads. Proposal documents may be obtained from LTL Consultants, Ltd. at no cost. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent of the total proposal amount and will be effective for 90 days from the date of opening. The successful low bidder is required to provide a 100% performance bond or certified check and a 100% payment bond or certified check. Proposals must be made on forms furnished by the municipality. The municipality reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof. Proposals must include the Public Works Employment Verification Form completed by the bidder. Liquidated damages apply at a rate of $500.00 per calendar day.
