The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is seeking proposals for the 600 Longworth Garage Door Project. The current garage doors use OSCO Model GSL Bi-Parting Door operators at both entrance and exit, which have been in service for about 50 years, handling approximately 250-300 cycles per day for each door. The system uses 480v 3-phase electricity, integrated with RTA’s backup generator, and the new system should also operate on this power supply. The doors fully open in 15 seconds, remain open for 30 seconds, and close in 15 seconds. The bi-parting design is preferred for transit bus operations over roll-up doors.
