Brock University Facilities Management is inviting proposals from qualified Prime Consultants to undertake a feasibility study for potential modifications to the existing animal research facility within the Cairns Family Health and Biosciences Research Complex. The facility is currently designed to Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) standards; however, the study will explore a range of future biosafety configurations and will not presume retention of BSL-3 containment. The objective of the feasibility study is to evaluate renovation, expansion, and or reconfiguration options for existing and adjacent spaces to meet current and future research program needs. The study will support informed institutional decision-making related to biosafety level, regulatory compliance, capital investment, operational continuity, building systems capacity, and long-term flexibility.
