The City is soliciting Bids from Engineering Consultants certified in materials testing and pavement/geotechnical engineering capable of performing field and laboratory testing of construction materials on an as and when required basis as part of the Road Rehabilitation Program at various locations within the City of Markham. Materials for disposal as part of other operational activities including ditching and disposal of illegally dumped materials may also require laboratory testing and analysis under this Contract. As part of the annual ditching program soil samples will be collected onsite at proposed ditching locations for testing purposes. Testing reports may subsequently be used in the procurement process for ditching and disposal services. All testing is to be conducted in accordance with latest Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) regulations / Ontario Provincial Standards and as instructed by the City of Markham.
