Renovation of a mixed-use development in Surrey, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.

The Work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all superintendence, overhead, labour, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, fuel, transportation and all things necessary for and incidental to the satisfactory performance and completion of construction and renovation of Guildford Pool - Parking Lot Elevator Upgrade, located at 15105 105 Ave, Surrey, British Columbia. The general components of the Work include: Supply and install a new weather protection vestibule for the Aquatic Centre exterior elevator including all architectural, mechanical, fire suppression, electrical, seismic anchorage of new equipment, roofing, sheet metal, and demolition services as identified in the attached project Specifications and Drawings. Commence work after all required construction materials are delivered to the Contractor to minimize the elevator downtime and impact of construction on the facility operations. The Contractor shall identify and supply all long lead time materials prior to starting the renovation work to shorten the construction schedule and ensure availability of all other necessary resources during construction to maintain the schedule. Install minimum eight (8) feet high construction fencing covered by privacy screen to secure the work area. A minimum of one (1) week notice needs to be provided by the Contractor when disruptive noise and dust are expected. Apply proper dust control methods when dust is expected from the construction and renovation work. Silica dust created from concrete cutting must be controlled as per WorkSafeBC regulations. Supply washroom facilities for construction crews working onsite. Limited site parking will be made available for the Contractor use during construction. The Contractor will be responsible for construction waste handling and for coordinating removals with the City. All work is to be completed during the regular working hours, 7:30am - 4:00pm. Coordinate the schedule with the City for any power shutdowns or sprinkler modifications with minimum two (2) weeks notice. The Contractor shall provide a fire watch when the fire alarm panel is put into test mode to complete the sprinkler work. All sprinkler work and power shutdowns shall be completed outside of the facility's normal business hours at no additional cost to the City if the facility cannot accommodate access during regular working hours. Provide a minimum of two (2) weeks notice in writing to coordinate access to the facility and make changes to the construction schedule.
