This Contract entails the installation of Enhanced Safety Barriers on Leaside Bridge (ID105). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: o Install temporary cyclist and pedestrian control measures on Millwood Road for the duration of construction, in accordance with the Ontario Traffic Manual Book (OTM 7), latest revision. o Design, supply, install, maintain and remove suggested debris platform as shown on the Contract Drawings, protective measures and/or other necessary measures before any construction works begin. o Remove existing railing, posts, bolts, nuts and washers and baseplates on parapet walls. Cut anchor bolts flush with top of concrete. Coat exposed anchor bolts with Galva-Guard advanced zinc galvanizing touch-up solder or approved equivalent. o Remove all loose and unsound concrete, including major spalls and delaminated areas, from the top of the parapet wall. Limits of removal to be confirmed during railing removal by the Contract Administrator. o Install new Enhanced Safety Barriers including curved posts, mesh fencing and associated components. o Form and patch top of parapet wall with new concrete. o Restore the site, carry out clean-up, and demobilize all equipment and materials. o All other works as shown on the Contract Drawings and Documents.
