Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Vermillion, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the construction of a 24,000-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or draft for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, such check to be certified or issued by either a State or National Bank, and payable to City of Vermillion or in lieu thereof, a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in this State and payable to City of Vermillion. The check or bond will be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages if the successful bidder refuses or fails to enter into a contract and performance bond in accordance with the bid when notified. All bidders are required to hold all applicable South Dakota tax licenses. Bidder is required to furnish a Performance/Surety Bond in an amount not less than the contract price, for the faithful performance of the contract, Contractor shall promptly pay all persons supplying him/her with labor or material in the performance of the work provided for in the contract. By virtue of Statutory Authority, preference will be given to materials, products, and supplies found or procured within the State of South Dakota. Bid may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the actual opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. New maintenance shop and administration area for City of Vermillion's Light & Power Departmentand other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. a. The project consists of a 24,000 square foot pre-engineered metal building with cast in place concrete foundation and footings, as well as a 2,750 square foot wood-framed administration building directly connected to the PEMB. The PEMB structure includes a mezzanine area consisting of CMU walls and precast floor. Misc building elements include some of the following: HM doors and frames, wood doors, aluminum window systems, 2x wood construction gypsum board walls and multiple insulation systems. The PEMB has several overhead doors, coiling doors and utilizes the "Simple Saver" system for the roof, metal liner panels and some pvc liner panels at the wash bay for pressure washing purposes, plumbing, HVAC and In - Floor Heating system. The building is designed for a B & S-1 Occupancy, Type V-B construction. The site work consists of grading and utilities and paving. An Awning structure shall be built on site as well utilizing PEMB systems. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract.
