Scope of work: Includes all necessary labor, material, and equipment for the installation of the HVAC scope of work complete. Work includes but is not limited to: pretesting, installation of volume dampers, installation of the electric duct heating coils, installation of the radiant ceiling panels, installing all diffusers, and fire caulking all wall penetrations. Demo of the existing duct will be performed by the Hospital Construction Crew. All work on this contract is to be completed within 60 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total bid. Complete sets of contract documents for bidding may only be obtained from the specified company upon payment of a required deposit. No pre-bid conference or individual walk-throughs will be held. Photographs of the site or a video walk-through can be made available in an addendum. All questions pertaining to the solicitation shall be made formally to each designated staff concurrently. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals: 15% MBE and 15% WBE participation of the total contract value, and an EEO workforce participation goal of 15% WBE and 15% MBE.
