Renovation of a mixed-use development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Construction services are required to perform Phase II work for the Canteen Kitchen at the Ralph H. Johnson Health Care System. Work consists of demolition of the existing front-line grill hood and Ansul fire suppression system, including associated ductwork containing asbestos mastic and the existing exhaust fan. New construction includes installation of a new front-line hood, Ansul system, dedicated air handling unit, exhaust fan, and associated ductwork. The scope also includes installation of two existing fabricated canteen kitchen hoods with associated exhaust fan, ductwork, and electrical controls, all as shown in the construction drawings and specifications. The front-line grill exhaust fan will be relocated closer to the grill hood to reduce the horizontal grease duct run. All work shall be completed in accordance with the contract documents under a firm-fixed-price construction contract, with an estimated period of performance of 365 days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Location: Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Construction Magnitude: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
