Site work for a water / sewer project in Highland City, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Lakeland Water Utilities Engineering is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced contractors for the construction of a 16-inch potable water main extension. This project will connect an existing 16-inch water main located on the west side of Bartow Rd (US Highway 98) approximately 1,700 linear feet northwest of the intersection with East County Road 540A and extend to the proposed Lakeland, City of Bartow, and Polk County Utilities potable water interconnect site at 4250 E County Road 540A. The extension covers approximately 2,600 linear feet of 16-inch potable water main located between Lakeland and Bartow in unincorporated Polk County. The proposed interconnect facility is under development as a separate joint project and will be constructed independently of Lakeland's water main extension. All Questions regarding this request for proposals shall be in writing and submitted electronically via the Portal before 5:00 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
