A certified check or bid bond for 10% of the bid is required for third class cities, and for other municipalities it is at the municipalitys discretion. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The municipality may reject any or all proposals.
