Miami-Dade County, as represented by Miami-Dade Aviation Department ("MDAD”) requires services of a highly qualified General Contractor to provide construction services including, but not limited to project management, on-site supervision, labor, material, tools, equipment, trade subcontractors, licenses, permit, overhead, and profit. The purpose of this project is reconfiguration and rehabilitation of Runway Incursion Mitigation (RIM) Hot Spot #3 at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, which is required to reduce the risk of collision and/or runway incursion. This reconfiguration scope of work for this project consists of, but not limited to: demolition of existing airfield pavements, demolition of existing taxiway lighting & signage appurtenances, construction of new full strength taxiway pavements, new shoulder pavements, installation of new taxiway lighting, signage and connection(s) to the existing airfield lighting system, infield grading and drainage modifications, along with removal of existing pavement markings and installation of new pavement markings. The awarded Contractor responsibilities will include, but is not limited to: • Mobilization and Maintenance of Aircraft Operating Traffic (MOT) • Temporary Air & Water pollution and quality control • SPCD & CQCP • Construction Safety and Phasing • Demolition and milling of existing bituminous pavements • Clearing and grubbing/stripping • Handle suspected hazardous ENR soil allowance • New bituminous pavement for new taxiways • New bituminous pavement for new shoulders • New Variable thickness bituminous pavement for existing taxiway overlay • New Limerock base course • New stabilized subgrade • Pavement markings/painting • New Storm Drainage • Taxiway lighting • Taxiway signage systems • Sodding
