Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Fleetville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

564 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Scratch/Leveling Course, placed 120 LB/SY. 846 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Wearing Course, placed 180 LB/SY, 1.5" Depth. All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408 - Specifications. Bidders do not need to be PennDOT prequalified. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposal forms, specifications, and bid information may be obtained by contacting the Benton Township Secretary by phone or email. For further information or to schedule a road inspection, contact the provided phone number. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Benton Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. The Benton Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, to delete projects and/or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints, and to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. All work must be completed by October 31; liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $875 per day for each day beyond this date that the work remains incomplete. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages Apply to this contract.
