Bids are solicited for the Brownsville Borough-Snowden Terrace Area Road Reconstruction project. Contract Documents, including drawings and technical specifications, are available electronically at the Office of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Fayette, PA. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained for a non-refundable fee. A bid bond or other security equal to ten percent of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. Federal and State requirements governing the work include payment of prevailing wages, non-discrimination in hiring and employment, and utilization of minority and women business enterprises, as detailed in the contract documents. The authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Bids may be held for up to sixty days. Minority, women, and disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to participate. The Minimum Participation Level (MPL) for MBE is 5% and the MPL for WBE is 3%. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Local Public Agency. Any inquiry received seven or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration.
