Furnish all labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary to perform construction and demolition activities at an existing communications site. Work includes construction of a Government-Furnished Equipment communication tower and associated foundations, construction of a Government-Furnished Equipment wave guide bridge and foundations, installation of a Government-Furnished Equipment Unity Power Battery Backup System, and provision of a new 1,000-gallon propane tank with supply line. The scope also includes construction of new foundations, construction of a generator building and foundation, and furnishing and installation of a specified generator. Additional work consists of temporary relocation of boulders to facilitate construction activities, removal of foundations for the existing propane tank, transfer of existing propane from the existing tank to the new tank, and removal of the existing communications tower and its foundation to four feet below grade. Interior remodeling of the communications building is required, along with removal and replacement of existing exterior metal platforms and stairs. The contractor shall remove and dispose of asbestos-containing floor tiles in accordance with applicable requirements. Final site restoration includes relocation of boulders to attain a natural appearance after construction. The contractor shall remove and dispose of existing communications site materials in accordance with the construction contract, applicable contract clauses, Western Area Power Administration Construction Standards, standard drawings, and the project specifications and drawings. All work shall be performed in strict compliance with the project specifications and drawings. The project magnitude is estimated between $750,000 and $1,000,000.
