Separate sealed bids are invited for Capital Sitework Improvements at Irvington Middle School and Dows Lane Elementary School. Bids must be received at the Business Administration Office, 6 Dows Lane, Irvington, NY 10533 at the specified date and time, and must include the contract name, contract number, and opening date on the envelope. No phone, fax, or email bids will be accepted. Contract Documents can be examined at the Office of the Architect or obtained online for a non-refundable fee, with an option for hard copies available by deposit. All bid addenda will be transmitted via email or made available online. Bidders requiring shipped documents must cover all related costs. Hard copies of bid documents must be returned in good condition within thirty days after bid date, except for the lowest responsible bidder. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference and walk through is scheduled at Dows Lane Elementary School. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, or all proposals may be rejected. The School District reserves the right to waive informalities, accept or reject alternatives, reject proposals, or advertise for new proposals as deemed in its best interest. Bidders may not withdraw bids for forty-five days after the bid opening. Each proposal must be accompanied by bid security equal to ten percent of the total bid amount. The Owner may modify the construction schedule due to restrictions from State, Federal, or Local laws, regulations, or rules; bidders consent to such modifications and agree that the sole remedy for schedule modifications or delays will be an extension of time as determined by the Owner. No oral interpretations, instructions, or explanation of the bid documents will be given prior to the opening of the bids. Discrepancies, ambiguities, or doubts as to the intent of the bidding document should be communicated to the Architect in writing for interpretation.
