Sealed proposals are requested for the supply of various aggregates to Salem Township, Westmoreland County. The materials and quantities required are: 500 tons of dust, 1500 tons of #8 Aggregate Washed (#1B) as per Pub 408 Sec 703.2, 1000 tons of #57 Aggregate Washed (#2B) as per Pub 408 Sec 703.2, 2000 tons of 2RC Aggregate (#2A Modified), 400 tons of #1 Aggregate (#4), 500 tons of Rip Rap -R5, and 500 tons of Anti-Skid. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the municipality. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond or certified check for 50% of the contract amount within 20 days of contract award. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
