Sealed bids are solicited for the Proposed Wantage Avenue Watermain Replacement in the Borough of Branchville. Principal work items and approximate quantities include: 2,065 linear feet of 8" ductile iron watermain (Class 54, double cement lined); 31 units of 3/4" corporation stop; milling of 2" thick asphalt covering 3,100 square yards; 410 tons of 2" hot mix asphalt (9.5M64); and other related items. Bids must be submitted on Standard Proposal Forms as designated and required by the specifications, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder, and the project title, addressed to the "Municipal Clerk" for the Borough of Branchville and clearly marked "BID FOR PROPOSED WANTAGE AVENUE WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT." Each bid must be accompanied by a notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit, Consent of Surety, Disclosure Statement, Bid Checklist - Administrative Documents, Certified Check or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid (minimum $500 and maximum $20,000), Business Registration Certificate for bidder and any subcontractors, Statement of Corporate Ownership, listing of subcontractors as required, Bidder's Acknowledgment of Receipt of any Addenda (if applicable), and Certification Regarding Non-Involvement in Prohibited Activities in Russia and Iran. The delivery or non-delivery of the bid proposal is the sole responsibility of the bidder. Compliance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, Public Works Contractor Registration Act, as well as Law Against Discrimination and Affirmative Action requirements is mandatory. A goal of not less than 10 percent is established for the award of contracts to small business concerns owned and controlled by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Bidders must satisfy the SED utilization requirements either by subcontracting portions of the work to SEDs or through unrestricted bidding procedures. All surety bonds must be provided by a company listed on the Federal Treasury List. The Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery and to be considered must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date set for the opening of bids.
