Greenville Water (GW) proposes to construct and install approximately 32,600 linear feet (LF) of new 6- and 8-inch water main in residential areas around Judson Mill and St. Francis Downtown Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. This project is funded in part with a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) loan from the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES). All federal and SCDES requirements will apply to the contract. All bidders are to provide a copy of their Contractor's License with their bid and shall have the required classification for the scope of work. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid amount. Bidder shall provide, furnish, and install all equipment, labor, and materials required to complete this project. The bid price shall be the final price, and no requests for reimbursement of sales tax in the future will be honored. Install approximately 9,100 LF of new 6-inch water main via open cut, 23,500 LF of new 8-inch water main via open cut, 25 fire hydrant assemblies, 15 blowoff valve assemblies, 648 service line replacements and associated appurtenances; relocate two (2) existing fire hydrants; abandon approximately 85 existing 2-inch water mains; provide traffic control, road restoration, and surface restoration; and all else incidental thereto as detailed in the Contract Documents and as specified herein.
