HOLE 10 CULVERT REPLACEMENT : Includes clearing, the removal of approximately 290 feet of CMP culvert and installation of approximately 290 feet of CPE culvert with drop inlet structure , and other ancillary items . Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a Bid Bond by an acceptable surety company of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Base Bid, made payable to the Owner, as a Bid guarantee. A Performance and Payment Bond will be required for the successful Bidder in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract, payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing mat erials, and payment of all liabilities incurred in connection with the Work under this Contract. Each Bidder must be appropriately licensed as a General Contractor in compliance with NCGS 87. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within 60 days after the date of Bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any part of a Bid and to waive formali ties and technicalities in the b idding procedure. To qualify, all bids shall be submitted using bid forms contained in the Contract Documents, and submittal of all information requested in the Instructions to Bidders (ITB -1). Incomplete or segregated bids will not be accepted. Questions regarding the intent or Scope of Work must be delivered in writing to Spencer Hollomon, P.E. via email at spencer@smithgardnerinc.com and, to be given consideration, m ust be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Appropriate responses, where required, will then be issued by addendum to all plan holders prior to the date scheduled for the submittal of bids. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including any Addendums, obtained from any other source.
