The City of Cedartown is seeking qualifications from architectural firms with experience in providing services for Federally Assisted Projects. Firms should be able to prepare a Preliminary Architectural Report, provide design, construction administration, and related services for projects utilizing federal funds. Projects include a downtown streetscape project, pedestrian connectivity project, and a performing arts center renovation. The scope includes a preliminary architectural report for grant applications related to the development of an additional phase of the Downtown Streetscape Project and site improvements, as well as an additional phase of the Performing Arts Center Renovation. The downtown project will focus on improvements to city-owned parcels in the Historic Downtown district, and the performing arts center renovation will take place at 205 East Avenue. Designs should include significant placemaking enhancements. Selected firms may be awarded contracts for architectural, design, construction administration, and related services, with the potential for additional contracts or addendums for planning, administrative, and other related services. Submittals must comply with requirements for Federally Assisted Construction Projects, including Davis-Bacon labor standards and Build America Buy America Act regulations. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply, and proposals should be submitted in accordance with provided instructions. The City reserves the right to reject, accept, or negotiate proposals as deemed in the best interest of its citizens.
