Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and transportation facility.

The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials and performing all work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for Runway, T-Hangar, Taxiway, and North Apron Rehabilitation at the Fitzgerald Municipal Airport, Fitzgerald, Georgia. Bids will only be considered from those bidders and subcontractors currently pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Prospective bidders must provide prices in both numerals and words for each item on the bid form, with all notations in ink. A Bidder's bond executed on the form provided by the Sponsor for 5% of the proposal amount must accompany each proposal. A 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond will be required at contract execution. All bonds must be countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent and issued by a surety company authorized in Georgia, and must be on the U.S. Department of Treasury's list of approved bond sureties. The successful bidder must provide an affidavit as required by OCGA 36-91-21 (e) Competitive Award Requirements. The contract completion time is 120 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Runway closure is limited to 30 calendar days within the total contract time. Liquidated damages are $1,000 per calendar day for completion delays and $2,000 per calendar day for exceeding the runway closure period. Payment is monthly based on completed work with retainage up to 10% per progress payment. All contractors must be on the plan holders list for consideration. Bids must remain open for 120 days after opening. Regulations and requirements for this project include Buy American Preferences, Foreign Trade Restriction, government-wide debarment and suspension, Davis-Bacon Act, and good faith efforts toward DBE participation. Evidence of good faith efforts must be submitted with the bid if the contract goal is not met. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered in a federal work authorization program as per O.C.G.A. 13-10-91. The Sponsor reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Question Deadline 05/22/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER. Requests for interpretations of drawings and specifications must be made in writing to the Engineers not later than five (5) days (weekends and holidays not included) prior to receipt of Proposals.
