The City of Weyburn is seeking proposals for the provision of services to construct Stage 1 of its Landfill Expansion, which includes a waste cell, a leachate pond, a sub-drainage storage pond, temporary and permanent perimeter berms, access road, and leachate collection system. The scope of work includes: provision of labour, materials, and equipment for site preparation (waste removal, grading, topsoil stripping, subgrade preparation, compaction, storm water management, and setting up Tire-Derived Aggregate storages), access roads construction (clearing, topsoil removal, excavation, TDA fill, base and sub-base construction, road crowning, and side ditch construction as per design), excavation of borrow materials (including barrier clay for Stage 1 and the leachate pond, and berms), construction of the landfill expansion cell (with liner, collection system, and perimeter berms), construction of the leachate pond (excavation, geocomposite installation, gas vents, clay compaction, geomembrane, tie-ins to outlets, leak detection, sump, berms, gates, and fence), and construction of the sub-drainage storage (excavation, grading, compaction, and pipe system tie-in).
