This project consists of intersection improvements at State Road (S.R.) 5 / U.S. 1 and Southwest Joan Jefferson Way in Martin County, Florida. Planned work includes replacing existing signal mast arms, installing queue detection cameras for eastbound traffic, reconstructing concrete curb ramps to meet ADA standards, repaving and restriping the intersection, and removing existing brick crosswalk pavers to be replaced with new pavement. The work will be phased to reduce traffic and pedestrian impacts, with temporary lane closures during non-peak hours and sidewalk detours provided.
