Sealed bids are requested for the construction of the Nature Park and Soccer Field Complex. Bids must be marked with the project name and the date and time of the bid opening. Each bidder must include their Certificate of Responsibility and Mississippi License number on the outside of the sealed envelope. Electronic bids must include a Certificate of Responsibility as an attachment. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. The Mayor and Board of Alderman for the City of Byram, Mississippi Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Any Informalities or Irregularities in the Bids Received. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check on a Solvent Bank or a Bidder's Bond Issued by a Surety Company Licensed to Operate in the State of Mississippi, in the Amount of Five (5) Percent of His Bid, Payable to the City of Byram, Mississippi as Bid Security. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, Each in the Amount of 100 Percent of the Contract Issued by a Surety Company Licensed to Operate in the State of Mississippi. the Bidder Shall Guarantee to Hold His Bid Good and May Not Withdraw His Bid for a Period of 60 Calendar Days After the Scheduled Closing Time for Receiving Bids. Disadvantaged, and Women's Business Enterprises Will Be Afforded the Full Opportunity to Submit Bids in Response to This Invitation and Will Not Be Discriminated Against on the Grounds of Race, Color, or National Origin in Consideration for an Award.
