Site work and new construction of a development in Alma, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a 12,000-square-foot development.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: New Education Nature Facility of approximately 12,000 square feet. Conventional wood framed structure with wood trusses, metal roofing, composite siding. Mechanical system using propane fuel, heat pump, cooling tower, in-floor heating, snow melt system, typical plumbing system with septic for sanitary. Electrical lighting, power backup generator, and fire alarm system. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: Sealed proposals for construction work of all trades for the project will be received. The envelope shall be addressed to the party receiving the bids and shall be identified with the project name, the bidder's name and address, and, if applicable, the designated portion of the work for which the bid is submitted. If the bid is sent by mail the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the same notation above on the outer envelope. No oral interpretations will be made. Interpretations must be made in writing and delivered to the architect at least seven working days prior to bid opening. Interpretations will be made in writing and furnished to prospective bidders present at the pre-bid inspection meeting. Each bidder is responsible for making their own measurements, for acquainting themselves with the specification documents, and for inspecting the work site and conditions. Each proposal must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in an amount equal to five percent of the basic proposal. Guarantee shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond executed by an approved surety company, made payable to the owner. Proposal guarantee shall run for a period of ninety days. The successful bidder may be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each bond in the amount of 100% of their contract, as required in the instructions to bidders. Provide cost for bonds as an alternate bid item where provided on the proposal form. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities in bidding, or to accept the lowest responsible proposal(s) that in the opinion of the owner will serve the best interest of the owner. The owner will not be obligated to accept the lowest proposal. The owner further reserves the right to approve all subcontractors. No proposals may be withdrawn for a period of ninety days after the receipt of proposals. Question Deadline 05/11/2026
