Sealed unit price bids are requested for the WA.01 Port Bay REDI Project located in the Towns of Huron and Wolcott, Wayne County, New York. The project is a two-phased effort for shoreline protection of the eastern and western barrier bars at Port Bay. Phase I is the base bid and includes improvements to the eastern barrier bar such as stone armoring, nature-based barrier bar berm with log reinforcement and gravel/cobble beach protection, bayside stabilization, turtle habitat enhancements, and plantings. Phase II is an add-alternative focused on the western barrier bar, including stone armoring the gap between the existing revetment and the pier, improvements to West Port Bay Road, a pull-off area to enhance circulation to the boat launch, parking lot restoration, and bayside stabilization. Bids are for a single prime contract and must be prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids are to be submitted on the basis of materials and equipment as indicated in the Bid Form. Successful bidder and subcontractors are required to have or obtain the necessary licenses as required by state statutes, federal, and local regulations. Work is subject to liquidated damages. A performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance acceptable to the owner are required. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the stipulated form and amount. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. By submitting a bid, the bidder represents that work will begin on receipt of Notice to Proceed and be completed within the contract time indicated in the bidding documents. Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders must have been pre-qualified by the owner prior to submission of bids. Qualifications should be submitted as required in Section 002113 Instructions to Bidders. Bids will not be accepted from bidders barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b. Question Deadline 05/13/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Owner's Representative in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
