The work includes all labour, materials, equipment, and supervision required to complete the surface preparation, repair, and recoating of the standpipe water tower in accordance with the project specifications. This includes cleaning and abrasive blasting the interior (SP10), hand and power tooling the exterior (SP2) (SP11), application of the specified coating system (including stripe coats at welds, edges, rivets, and bolts), and localized steel repairs as required. The work also requires installation and maintenance of all necessary access systems and containment to safely perform the project. All hazardous materials handling, environmental protection measures, and waste disposal must comply with applicable regulations. Upon completion, the contractor is to perform final cleaning, remove all temporary work, and restore the site to acceptable conditions. The scope also includes safety and mechanical upgrades to the standpipe water tower and valve chamber.
