Renovation of a mixed-use development in Greensboro, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed proposals are requested for the Greensboro High School Basketball Goal Replacement. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to Hale County Board of Education for at least five percent of the bid amount, not exceeding $10,000. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance as outlined in the bid documents are required at contract signing. Drawings and specifications can be examined at the architect's office and another listed location, with bid documents available for a refundable deposit per set, and electronic PDF copies available for free. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the architect. Contractors bidding above the state threshold must be licensed and must display their license number on the outside of the sealed bid envelope. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors. Bidders are invited to a non-mandatory pre-bid conference. Nonresident bidders must include a written legal opinion about state contract preferences with their bid documents. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Replacement of the existing basketball goals with new goals at the Greensboro High School Gymnasium.
