General Scope: Grade shoulder for widening, furnish and install asphaltic concrete for leveling course (approximately 9,073 tons), furnish and install asphaltic concrete for wearing course (approximately 8,941 tons), furnish and install asphaltic concrete for drives and turnouts (approximately 136 tons). Alternate 1: Haul and install owner-furnished asphaltic concrete for leveling and wearing courses (same quantities as base bid). Bidders are invited to submit bids for the subject project. Bids can be mailed or hand-delivered in a sealed envelope, or electronically submitted through Online. Submittals must include all required documents, particularly those listed under "Documents Required with Submittal." Only submittals meeting all requirements and submitted by the listed deadline will be considered valid. Prospective bidders are responsible for visiting the site as necessary to verify all quantities, measurements, site conditions, scope of work, and bid requirements prior to submitting a bid. Bids shall be accepted only from general contractors licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192. Either the prime contractor or subcontractor must have necessary classification(s) to perform all tasks listed in scope of work. A bid bond is required if the bid is over $50,000. The contractor is responsible for acquiring permits necessary to complete the scope of work. All bidders must be registered with and participate in the federal E-Verify program to verify employment eligibility of new employees in Louisiana, with a sworn affidavit of compliance required from the selected contractor and subcontractors.
