Sealed bids will be received for the construction project known as the Jefferson Davis Parish Community Development Block Grant Project for Fiscal Year 2025, financed by the State of Louisiana CDBG Program. Bids must be submitted via www.bidexpress.com by 2:00 p.m. on May 14, 2026, and will be publicly opened at 2:05 p.m. at the JDPPJ Office, 304 N State St., Jennings, LA. Bidders are responsible for downloading contract documents from the specified website and covering their own reproduction costs. Each bidder must provide bid security as specified and have an active UEI Number, verified on www.sam.gov, before beginning construction. Sureties for bonds must be acceptable as per the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The selected contractor must begin mobilization and material procurement within ten working days of receiving the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must comply with conditions of employment, minimum wage rates, Section 3 Employment Opportunities, Build America Buy America (BABA), Segregated Facilities, Executive Order 11246, Public Law 17758, and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including bonding and insurance requirements.
