The Work of the Project is defined by the immediately following Project Description herein below and by the Contract Documents. Project Description: Provide labor, materials, tests, tools and equipment to complete the Renovation of FIT Museum's History Gallery on the First Floor of the Goodman Center. The work includes related mechanical, electrical, general construction, fire suppression and fire alarm work, selected portions of work on other floors (sub-basement, & Basement) having to do with Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing infrastructure in support of interior renovations. Contractor to schedule and work with FIT's On-Call IT, Fire Alarm, and Security Devices & Wiring Contractor. Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, accessories, services and tests necessary to complete and make ready for operation by the Owner, as per attached specifications and drawings. Contractor may begin survey and procurement of materials immediately following award. The installation of all equipment in accordance with the Manufacturer's Installation/Operation & Maintenance Manuals & Instructions shall be followed. The project involves the renovation of The Museum at FIT History Gallery. There is a mandatory walkthrough at the Feldman Building Lobby for all interested contractors and their subcontractors. Questions related to the project are accepted up to a specified date and must be sent to the designated purchasing email. Complete bid packages are available on FIT's website. Contractors who have been awarded a similar contract within the past five years are noted.
