Site work for an industrial development in Mishawaka, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a 22,826-square-foot industrial development.
The work consists of demolition and site preparation for the construction of a new 22,826 sq. ft. concrete pad, specifically an 8" thick pad measuring 101 feet by 226 feet, over a portion of the existing industrial site. This includes demolition of five storm structures, associated storm piping, old foundations, and concrete pads, as well as removal of existing pavement and hardscape. Bids will only be accepted from plan holders of record. The general contractor must be prequalified by INDOT for at least one applicable work type. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the bid amount. The awarded contractor must provide a performance bond and payment bond, each at 125% of the contract price, before work commences, both of which must remain in effect for the entire construction period. Additionally, a maintenance bond of 10% for three years from final completion is required. All forms listed in the Checklist for Bidders must be completed, including the Bid Form. The substantial completion date is August 7, 2026, and the final completion date is September 7, 2026. The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and make an award in the best interest of the City. No bid or bid security can be withdrawn for at least 60 days after the bid deadline.
