Site work and paving for a road / highway in Flin Flon, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The City of Flin Flon is inviting tenders from qualified contractors for the supply, placement, and compaction of asphalt pavement on designated municipal roadways, including two roadway assets under the jurisdiction of Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure. The work consists of asphalt paving on selected main roads only within the City of Flin Flon, with no back lanes or laneways included. The work generally includes surface preparation such as milling, grading, and localized base repairs as required; supply, hauling, and placement of hot mix asphalt; asphalt paving and compaction on designated main roadways; tie-ins to existing pavement and transitions at intersections and approaches; adjustment of manholes, valves, and catch basins to final grade; traffic control in accordance with applicable Manitoba standards; coordination and compliance with Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure requirements for work occurring on MTI-controlled assets; and cleanup and restoration of disturbed areas. All work shall be carried out in accordance with City of Flin Flon specifications, Manitoba Infrastructure standards, and applicable codes and regulations. The locations, estimated quantities, and specific MTI assets included in the work will be identified in the tender documents.
