Reference Number 0000309499 Question Acceptance Deadline 2026/01/05 12:00:00 AM CST The City is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide comprehensive solid waste collection services for both residential and commercial customers within the municipal boundary. Scope of Work The successful proponent will be responsible for the daily collection, transportation, and disposal of municipal solid waste from: Approximately 2,533 residential dwellings requiring curbside pickup; and 127 commercial locations serviced by rear-load commercial bins. Services will include: Supplying appropriate collection vehicles and equipment; Ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable waste collection in all seasons and weather conditions; Maintaining continuity of service during statutory holidays (with approved schedule adjustments); Ensuring compliance with all applicable municipal, provincial, and federal regulations. Service Requirements Residential waste must be collected daily ( Monday - Friday ), with all materials transported to the designated disposal facility. Commercial bins (rear-dump style) must be emptied according to a regular schedule to be agreed upon with the City, with flexibility for increased service if required. Proponents must demonstrate experience with similar contracts, including references. Contractors are responsible for equipment maintenance, staff training, and adherence to safety standards. Term of Contract The City anticipates awarding a multi-year contract with potential performance-based extension options.
